About Me

Visual Designer. UX/UI Specialist. Puzzle Solver.

I believe great design happens when creativity, strategy, and usability all work together.

I have worked as a professional designer for over 20 years, designing websites, marketing materials and multimedia.

Through my employers and personal projects, I have worked with over 60 clients across various industries.

9 projects I have designed have won silver or gold Addy awards from AFF (Frederick, MD chapter)

I’m a visual designer with more than 20 years of professional experience helping organizations communicate clearly, build strong brands, and create digital experiences that work. Throughout my career, I’ve partnered with clients across a wide range of industries, designing everything from brand systems and marketing materials to large-scale websites and interactive user experiences.

Design has always felt like solving an ever-changing puzzle to me. Every project brings a new mix of goals, audiences, constraints, and opportunities, and finding the right balance between them is what keeps me engaged, motivated, and constantly learning. I am always looking for the next challenge, the next puzzle, and the next opportunity to build something meaningful.

How I Approach Design

My approach to design is rooted in understanding first, building second, and refining continuously.

01

Listen First

Every project starts with learning. I take time to understand the organization, its audience, its goals, and the challenges it needs to solve. Strong design decisions come from strong context.

02

Design Within the Brand and Expand It

A successful design should feel fresh without feeling disconnected. I focus on building cohesive visual ecosystems that stay true to brand identity while giving the brand room to grow.

03

Build for Real User Journeys

Websites and digital tools should feel natural to use. Navigation, layout, and content structure should guide users toward what they need without friction. The best solutions happen where user goals and business goals overlap.

04

Learn, Measure, Improve

Design is never finished. It evolves. Analytics, user feedback, and real-world usage reveal where experiences can be improved, and I believe in refining work over time to keep it effective.

05

Use the Right Tools, Explore New Ones

Technology changes fast, and I enjoy keeping up with it. Modern tools, including AI, allow designers to work more efficiently, explore more ideas, and focus more time on strategy and creativity.

06

Keep Exploring

At its core, design is creative problem solving. Some of the best ideas come from asking “what if?” and experimenting. I enjoy pushing boundaries, testing new concepts, and finding solutions that feel both unexpected and right.

What I love most about visual design and communication is that there is never just one answer.

Every solution depends on a mix of branding, audience behavior, messaging goals, usability, and technical constraints. Finding the point where all of those factors come together into something clear, effective, and engaging is what makes this work exciting to me, even after more than 20 years.
