As lead UI designer for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) website redesign, I focused on delivering a clear, structured experience across both desktop and mobile.
My role centered on creating a scalable design system that ensures consistency, usability, and accessibility across all screen sizes. I developed a comprehensive UI ecosystem that defines the visual and functional patterns used throughout the site. This included typography, color usage, layout systems, navigation patterns, and reusable components designed specifically for both desktop and mobile experiences. A key focus was establishing clear formatting rules so content remains consistent and easy to navigate regardless of screen size. While I was not responsible for development, I worked closely with the team by providing design direction and delivering a detailed website branding guide as part of the final hand-off. This guide outlines how pages and UI components should be structured, giving developers a reliable reference to maintain consistency as the site evolves. The result is a cohesive, user-friendly website that supports ASSH’s content needs while remaining flexible for future growth.
